Yael Stone, who was born in Australia and living in New York City in 2013 in the film, played Lorna Mello as an inmate on Orange Is the New Black. Yael has received her NIDA diploma. Yael despite her youthful age, has had the privilege of learning from Australia's most renowned storytellers. Yael has a very accomplished career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was thrilled to discover her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with critical acclaim, became her new home in New York City.
