Srushti began preparing herself for the UPSC examination during her 3rd year as a student in engineering. Following her graduation, she was unsure whether or not she would be satisfied in an engineer position. Later, she realized the dream of her was to work in civil service and decided to pursue the field. Her parents encouraged her to pursue civils, and find an employment that would benefit the general public. She was motivated to become an IAS officer and was focused on that goal. The process of achieving UPSC requires more effort. She also prepared for UPSC exams while doing her engineering studies. Each day she allocated time for exam preparation. In only 1 and 1/4 months, she passed her engineering examinations, and stayed away from any social interaction. She is convinced that focus is the most important factor to succeed in the exam of government and becoming an officer in the civil service. She was extremely determined to succeed in this exam and put in a lot of number of efforts. She used to read newspapers to keep up-to-date on daily news. In the online world, she found various study materials and also watched Rajya Sabha TV.
