Meredith Salenger

Salenger was raised and born in Malibu, California. Her passion for acting was performing in front of her friends and family as a young child. Her mother took her to her first class in acting when she was just eight years old. Her first performance was just a tiny part of an orphan singing and dancing in the film Annie which was directed by John Huston. Salenger has also been featured in a few television commercials. Salenger was cast as the lead on screen in The Journey of Natty Gann by Disney that featured John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. This film won the Moscow Film Festival's gold award for being the first American-made film. In addition, she won "Best Female actor in a dramatic" at the Youth in Film Awards in appreciation of her performance as the fun-loving Natty. The actress also appeared in four movies before turning age 18. One of these included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. After that, she enrolled to Harvard for further education.
